Hello:

I've looked at a number of user pages and they appear to be free form, so here goes:

Professionally, I'm a high-tech entrepreneur, but almost all of my Wikipedia edits have been on pages related to avocational interests, mostly cleaning up and adding details and, recently, adding lighthouse stubs.

My wife and I have been sailing together for forty years, including both a circumnavigation and a later trip across the Atlantic. We're now prepping for further passage making. We both hold Master's Licenses. I also race actively.

I belong to the school of "different ships, different long splices" -- there is almost always more than one way to do something on a ship or in a Wiki article -- and much prefer a balanced point of view both in action and in writing.

We're also railfans, and have railfanned on all the continents where there are railroads.

Jim Woodward

Thank you for your help and suggestions re User:SCPS70458/Camp_Salmen_House TOC was referring to table of contents. I had been told it was in the wrong place but can find no way to move it. I am going to make a few improvements and then upload. I may be back with another question or two. It seems that all the information one needs to create articles is available IF you know how to look. I am learning how. My next project will be the Francois Cousin House, across the bayou from Camp Salmen House. Once again, thank you, Suzanne or --SCPS70458 (talk) 21:19, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
