Shenendehowa High School is a public high school located in Clifton Park, New York, part of New York's Capital Region. It is part of the Shenendehowa Central School District [1] and serves the district's 9th through 12th graders. Both of the school's two buildings are located on the district's main campus off of State Route 146. The recently expanded East building houses 10th through 12th graders, and the west building houses only freshmen. [2]

History

The original high school was built in the early 1970s and designed to be a model facility for its time. [3]

Academic Achievement

The school provides about 9 AP classes. AP class final grades have a weight of 1.06.[4].

The National Merit Scholarship Program awards high-achieving high school seniors with recognition. Recent shenendehowa high school National Merit scholar numbers are presented in the table below.[5]

About 90% of Shenendehowa high school students went on to attend 4 year (60%) or 2 year colleges (30%) from 2005 to 2008. Other schools in Saratoga county, such as Waterford-Halfmoon Senior High School, have performed better in state exams.[6]
