"Russian Roulette"
Song

"Russian Roulette" is a 2009 song performed by American singer Rihanna, to be released on her fourth studio album.[3] The song is the lead single of Rihanna's foruth studio album and it was written by Ne-Yo,[2] and is set to be released to mainstream radio on October 21, 2009.[4]

Background

On October 14, Rihanna posted on her official twitter page "The Wait Is Ova. Nov 23 09".[5] This has lead to speculation as to whether she is releasing a new album on this date, and if this is to be its title.[5] On October 16, an official countdown timer was placed on the website "rihannanow.com" in anticipation of her new single release.[6] This was confirmed via Ryan Secrest on his official twitter page, saying the single to be released it titled "Russian Roulette."[3][4] On October 20, Rihanna's official website "rihannanow.com" was updated featuring a short clip, still currently unknown whether it is from the single or not, in which she sings the lyrics "It's just the way the game is played... wait your turn."[7]

Music video

A representative for the singer confirmed that she shot her new video the weekend between October 17-18 in New York City, but declined to elaborate on concept details, title or producers for the record.[8] During filming, Rihanna was wearing a short grey coat, knee high black boots, with slicked back hair and an eye patch she was featured wearing in the "Run This Town" music video.[9]
