Schizophrenia?

I know it's a far stretch but in the episode 'Future Malcolm,' Dewey is doing things because of what the unborn baby tells him (e.g. driving the car, getting sand, making a melon sling shot of some type). There is then this conversation between Reese and Dewey when Dewey tells Reese of the baby's voice:

Reese: What are you doing? :)
Dewey: Can you hold these for a second? (holding elastic ropes stuck in a closet)
Reese: Sure. (takes them) What's this for anyway?
Dewey: You'll see. (opens door to hit Reese with melon)
Reese: Are you crazy?
Dewey: It wasn't my idea. The baby told me to.
Reese: Wait a minute. Mom's baby? You think Mom's baby talks to you?
Dewey: Yes! It's telling me to do all these crazy things.
Reese: Let me give you a little advice. You've got to ignore the voices. They're not on your side. And you never tell anyone about them. Especially your teachers; they get panicky for no reason. You understand?
Dewey: I think so.
Reese: Attaboy. You're going to be okay. (punches him)

So Reese hears voices, and so does Dewey (though later the voice is somehow right as it tells Dewey to tell Lois to turn around and they catch Hal filling her tea with maple syrup). I know we need evidence for Malcolm or Francis but this is at least evidence of /something/ going on that can be mentioned in the articles, right? It doesn't need to be of schizophrenia. Just that they hear voices? -Babylon pride (talk) 17:02, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reese being referred to as private jetson

In the episode where Reese joins the army, he uses a fake I.D. so this would also explain why he was referred to as jetson. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.46.238.219 (talk) 13:46, 1 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why is this page so weak compared to other American tv series? Surely it must have been fairly popular, for it to last quite long? I mean other American shows have every episode with its own page, and Malcolm doesn't even get his own page?

Maybe it's only here in the UK the programme is very popular, far more than something like King of the Hill, which has a huge amount of wiki on it.

Before anyone suggest, I would make pages myself, but i'm not good enough with computers. I'd screw it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.142.231.173 (talk) 21:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Surname?

Is it accurate to use the surname "Wilkerson" in this article? Except for Francis' name badge in the pilot, the family's surname is never mentioned (intentionally), so should the characters be referred to by this name? I would change it, but I don't know if there would be any objection. LlwynogCymru (talk) 14:57, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Their last name was never officially mentioned on the show, and they even made a joke about this in the final episode (when the principal was announcing Malcolm as the valedictorian but couldn't read the last name because it was smudged). It should be removed from the article. TJ Spyke 21:39, 26 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Eric ?

Is there any reference about Lois and Hal's sixth child being named Eric? This information should be erased if no reference is found. (I tried to search one but I'm no expert). --AurélieM Hi! 21:55, 4 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed -- I have NEVER heard this before, I tried to search too. It is usually helpful to cite such things when they are not common knowledge (or knowledge at all!!) 76.114.60.48 (talk) 01:43, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks to whoever corrected this. --AurélieM Hi! 23:37, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Malcolm's section is too long

There really doesn't have to be a complete listing of every single girl that Malcolm has dated in the show. That part of the article really needs to be cleaned up. --Ultimo Camdawg (talk) 15:29, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've gone ahead and removed the section about Malcolm's girlfriends. Everything else I left the same. --Ultimo Camdawg (talk) 16:45, 27 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pervert messed the page up

Pardon my french but somebody went through and really fucked up the article. Dewey's section is the only one that I read but it is now almost entirely about sex. No one could find this helpful at all.Kostaskubes (talk) 04:17, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Split

This article is too long. Sections on characters are already as short as they can be, whilst still displaying all relevant and neccessary information. I propose we split this into two articles; Malcolm's Family (Malcolm In The Middle), (or something along those lines) for Malcolm, Reese, Dewey, Hal, Lois, Francis, Ida, Piama, Jamie and Victor (main and recurring characters related by blood and/or marriage) and another article, such as List of Malcolm in the Middle characters for the rest of them.

The Hamster?

What about the hamster the Dewey had for an episode and had let it free? Shouldn't we mark that as a recurring character? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.74.138.252 (talk) 06:06, 29 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hal's dreams

Does anyone else think that Hal's dreams should be mentioned as a running gag? It's kind of subtle, but when you think about it, there have been alot of cases were Hal had weird dreams (more than any other character), such as the dream when he went to Las vegas, the singin trashcans, his own funeral after his dad died, the dreams he had after being sedated in the episode where Jamie is born, etc... ?
