The Almas Temple is a building facing Franklin Square at 1315 K St NW in Washington, DC.

This building was built in the Moorish Revival style in 1929 by Allen H. Potts, a member of the temple. It currently serves as the headquarters for the A.A.O.N.M.S. (Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine), also known as the Shriners.

Five stories tall, it was restored and relocated to its current location in 1987 to make way for a new office complex.

Setting in Literature

The Almas Temple is one of the settings in Dan Brown's latest novel, The Lost Symbol.
