Survivor 20 is the upcoming twentieth season of the American TV series Survivor. Unlike previous seasons where a break in production occurred between seasons, the twentieth season was shot shortly after Survivor: Samoa was completed.[1] Casting for Survivor 20 was done simultaneously with Survivor: Samoa.[2]
Richard Hatch, the winner of the original Survivor, was asked to return for this season, leading to speculation that it would be another All-Stars season. However, he had to apply to leave the country since he is under house arrest. His request was denied by a federal judge in Rhode Island.[3]
Following the 2009 Samoa earthquake & tsunami, a CBS spokeswoman stated that no crew members were harmed and filming was not occurring at the time.[4]
