The Kumbainggiri people (aka Gumbainggir) are those Australian Aborigines who are the original custodians of a region of New South Wales (Australia), about 400 km northeast of Sydney. The Northern border (shared with the Bundjalung people) is the Clarence River, extending westwards to Glen Innes, and then south-East to Nambucca Heads [1]
