Thad T. Viers (born March 13, 1978) is a Republican South Carolina State Representative for District 68. He lives in Myrtle Beach. He is a Business Development Consultant by occupation. Viers is a graduate of The Citadel (military college). Thad is short for Thaddeus of the 12 apostles. Thad has a younger brother also named after one of the 12 apostles name Bartholomew (Bart for short).

Viers was fined $500 in 2007 for making harassing phone calls with friends to his estranged wife's boyfriend. He released a statement that said

"I and those around me lost our tempers and exercised poor judgment," said Viers, a Republican who represents the Myrtle Beach area. "In most of our lives, we can point to a time where as it relates to matters of the heart our emotions override our good sense. These events represent that for me and I look forward to moving on with my life."[1]
