Atsushi Takahashi (高橋篤史) is a Japanese astronomer and a member of the group Hokkaido Showakusei Suisei Kaigi.[1] With his colleague Kazuro Watanabe he discovered 22 asteroids between 1989 and 1991,[2] including the asteroid 4644 Oumu (1990 SR3) in 1990.[3] The minor planet 4842 Atsushi was named in Takahashi's honor at Watanabe's suggestion.[1]
