Paths of Glory is a novel based on the story of George Mallory written by English author Jeffrey Archer. It was published by St. Martin's Press on March 3, 2009. It claims that George Mallory, an Englishman, is the first to conquer Mount Everest -- before Sir Edmund Hillary. New subject for controversy.

It caused a controversy in New Zealand, with a major newspaper calling it an insult to Sir Edmund Hillary.
