  1. Well-written:
  2. (a) the prose is clear, concise, and understandable to an appropriately broad audience; spelling and grammar are correct; and
    • Gave it a copy edit.
    (b) it complies with the Manual of Style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
    • Yes.
  3. Verifiable with no original research:
  4. (a) it contains a list of all references (sources of information), presented in accordance with the layout style guideline;
    • Yes
    (b) reliable sources are cited inline. All content that could reasonably be challenged, except for plot summaries and that which summarizes cited content elsewhere in the article, must be cited no later than the end of the paragraph (or line if the content is not in prose); and
    • Yes. Footnoted as per B-class MILHIST article.
    (c) it contains no original research.
    • Yes.
  5. Broad in its coverage:
  6. (a) it addresses the main aspects of the topic; and
    • Yes. Like some of the other editors, some more information on aviation support would be nice.
That I have no idea...someone who is more familiar with the US Navy and Marines could help out here. Jim101 (talk) 19:20, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
    (b) it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
    • Yes.
  7. Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without editorial bias, giving due weight to each.
    • Yes. Very even handed.
  8. Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
    • Yes.
  9. Illustrated, if possible, by media such as images, video, or audio:
  10. (a) media are tagged with their copyright statuses, and valid non-free use rationales are provided for non-free content; and
    • Yes. Checked the dabs and all pix have alt text.
    (b) media are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
    • Yes.
Three things I'd like cleared up before passing the article:
    1. Mutual distrust between Oliver and Almond. Reasons why Oliver disliked and distrusted Almond are given. Reasons for the reverse are not.
Cleared up, Almond found Smith's caution annoying
    2. AA guns of the 57th Field Artillery Battalion. I don't have your source. Mine assigns the AA to the 15th AAA Automatic weapons Battalion.
D Battery of the 15th Antiaircraft Battalion was attached to the 57th Field Artillery Battalion. Cleared up. (BTW you don't have Appleman's book? I'm surprised.)
    3. More reinforcements arrived at Hagaru-ri on 30 November. What were they and how did they get there?
Hudong-ni as explained in the "East of the reservoir" section, I added that fact in this section as well. Jim101 (talk) 19:05, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
