The UD and UD Trucks Co., Ltd is an international trademark for Nissan diesel trucks. UD original stood for "Uniflow Diesel", but now officially stands for "Ultimate Dependability".

History

Founded in 1985, UD was spun off from the parent company Truck in manufacturer. saw a number of high profile investigations into the utility and safety records of a number of the commercial vehicle models produced by the company.
