Blue Sky Beverage Company is an all natural beverage company that produces a large selection of natural soft drinks and energy drinks. It is a fully-owned part of the Hansen Beverage Company.[1][2]

Blue Sky Beverage Company offers several beverage lines that promote a natural lifestyle. The beverage company has organic, all-natural, calorie-free, and tea soda lines. The company also manufactures a line of energy drinks. The original natural, real-sugar line of products was introduced in 1980 and was marketed towards people who were allergic to high-fructose corn syrup, or people that are attempting to eliminate it from their diets.

Blue Sky beverages are available in United States and Canadian natural food and grocery stores nationwide. The company was started in Santa Fe, NM in 1980, where it remained until it was purchased by Hansen Beverage Company in 2000. Blue Sky Beverage Company now operates out of Corona, CA. The southwestern look and feel of the artwork on the soda cans is reminiscent of the company's roots in New Mexico.

Marketing

In 2010, Blue Sky launched a word-of-mouth marketing program called "Wanderers." The Blue Sky Wanderers are free-spirited individuals who are out and about supporting local businesses and community events in the Seattle and LA metro areas. Each brand representative drives their vintage VW bus as they wander their respective cities looking for ways to have fun and bring people together. You may see them grilling out in the park, hanging out at vinyl record shops, providing libations at the art gallery, or setting up an impromptu concert series with their favorite local artists.

Save Pets Send Tabs Program

Blue Sky products are made with blue tabs rather than the traditional silver ones. Under the Save Pets Send Tabs program, Blue Sky Beverage Company donated $0.10 to the Humane Society for every blue tab the company received. The program ran from 2005-2007.
