Rollback (add request)

I was denied adminship and was told that if I wanted to try and help stop vandalism i should get rollback so I want to get it to boost my chance of becoming and administrator but most importantly to stop vandalism! Gobbleswoggler (talk) 20:12, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. I'm sorry to hear about your RFAs and I appreciate your improving the encyclopedia through updating statistics, but rollback is not a consolation prize nor a prerequisite for becoming an admin. In looking through your contributions I don't see any vandalism fighting and that is definitely a prerequisite in getting rollback. Rollback is not a badge, it's an increased responsibility for people who have demonstrated both a need for the bit and proficiency in counter-vandalism. I suggest you check out Wikipedia:Cleaning up vandalism and then begin to actually fight vandalism before we can consider your application. Thanks, Valley2city 00:33, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
If you really wish to get into vandal fighting (and vandal fighters are always welcome), then consider starting with a combination of vandal fighter and twinkle. Do note that if you start accumulating thousands of automated edits (and little "normal" work), then any future RfA might suffer - see Wikipedia_talk:Requests_for_adminship/Archive_191#RfA_and_automated_edits. Also look at several RfAs that have failed and succeeded - that will give you a better idea of what criteria other editors expect for an admin.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 00:49, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I already have global rollback, though today I thought that en.wiki is not actually a small wiki :) for the patrolling of which I was granted GL, so I thought it would be formally better to ask for it here too (I admit I should have thought about this earlier, or at least before using it here). If you think this request is a waste of time just ignore it and i'll get the point. Thank you in advance Egmontaz talk 10:19, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, you can use it here. Pmlineditor  10:21, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, feel free to make use of your global rollback on the English Wikipedia. :-)  Not done locally. PeterSymonds (talk) 10:25, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK thanx, I'll continue then :) --Egmontaz talk 10:26, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Usually I revert vandalism that I come across manually, but since I began editing in the area of Mexican history I've noticed so much of it that the feature would definitely make things easier radek (talk) 04:49, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Please use rollback only for blatant vandalism. PeterSymonds (talk) 10:26, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to request the rollback right to revert Vandalism quicker and to help tackle the Vandalism problem from IP's Floul1 | My Talkpage | Vandalise Here 06:33, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
