Kidz Bop are compilation albums of popular songs, covered by children singing rather than the original artist. As of 2010, 17 Kidz Bop albums have been released.

KIDZ BOP LLC is a division of New York based independent Razor & Tie Entertainment, founded by Cliff Chenfeld and Craig Balsam.

McDonald's Collection

In 2007, McDonald's released a series of 8 Kidz Bop CD's as premiums in their Happy Meals. Each CD contained four songs plus the Kidz Bop theme.

Criticism

Despite being intended for kids, Kidz Bop has come under criticism for using songs that are not suitable for children.[4]. Some of these songs include "Paparazzi" (Lady Gaga), whose subject matter includes stalking and attempted murder.
