Andy Woerner (born October 4, 1970) is running for for Hawaii’s Democratic Party nomination for the U.S. Senate Election in 2010 that is currently held by Daniel Inouye.

Personal Life

Andy was born in North Carolina on October 4, 1970. After graduating from high school, he attended Appalachian State University, where he met his wife Angela. At the end of their fourth year in college, he and his wife transferred to a trade school for SCUBA instructors. Soon after, Andy and his wife began working on cruise ships and continued doing so for the next three and a half years. In 1995, Jack's Diving Locker, a dive and snorkel facility in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, offered Andy and his wife positions as SCUBA instructors. He eventually became the Operations Manager. Andy became involved in politics as a supporter and campaigner for Barack Obama's successful presidential bid in 2008.[1]

US Senate Campaign

Andy Woerner is running for Hawaii’s Democratic Party nomination for the U.S. Senate Election in 2010.[2] Senator Daniel Inouye has held this seat since 1963 and been serving in the U.S. Congress since Hawaii became a state in 1959. [3][4]
