Eesti Energia Kaevandused (former name: Eesti Põlevkivi) is a subsidiary of Eesti Energia, an Estonian state-owned energy company. The core activity of Eesti Energia Kaevandused is oil-shale mining in the north-east of Estonia.
Eesti Energia Kaevandused has following subsidiaries:
- Põlevkivi Kaevandamise AS - operator of Narva and Aidu open-pit mines, and Estonia and Viru underground mines.
- AS Põlevkivi Raudtee - rail transportation company
- Orica Eesti OÜ (35% of shares) - production of explosives
