Template:Infobox Euroleague Player Jonas Mačiulis (born February 10, 1985) is a Lithuanian professional basketball player in the Euroleague and the Italian League with the Armani Jeans Milano. He is also a member of the Lithuania national team. He plays the small forward position.

Early years

Mačiulis spent two years competing in the LKAL, Lithuanian League 2nd Division. He won the 2003 2nd Division Title with the LKKA-Žalgiris of Kaunas.

Pro career

Mačiulis made his pro debut in 2004 with the Nevėžis. He averaged 13.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in his only season with the club.

Mačiulis was signed by the Žalgiris in 2005. He helped the Žalgiris win a Baltic League title in 2008, two Lithuanian League titles in 2007 and 2008 and two Lithuanian Cups in 2007 and 2008.

Mačiulis made a leap in production in each year of his career. He had a breakout season in 2006-07, averaging 12.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in the Euroleague.[1]

Mačiulis averaged a career-high 14.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in the 2008-09 season in the Euroleague.[2] He scored a career-high 29 points against SLUC Nancy on January 8th, 2009.[3]

In an April 8, 2009 game against the Lietuvos Rytas, Mačiulis set a LKL record for three-point field goals made with 8 in a row.

On July 1st, 2009, Mačiulis signed with the Armani Jeans Milano. The deal is worth €1.2 million euros net income over two years.[4]

Mačiulis was a member of numerous Lithuanian junior teams. He won a gold medal at the 2005 World U-21 Championship and silver medals at the 2003 World U-18 Championship and the 2005 European U-20 Championship.[5]

Mačiulis played at the 2007 FIBA European Championship, where the Lithuanians finished third.
