Eliot Pauline Sumner (born July 30, 1990, in Pisa, Italy), better known as Coco Sumner, is an English musician recording under the band name I Blame Coco. I Blame Coco's first album, The Constant, is due out in 2010, and the first single, "Caesar", was released in February 2010. Coco has also worked as an actress and model. She is the daughter of musician Sting and actress/producer Trudie Styler.

Coco began playing music at a young age and began working on an album at 15.[1] Some of her earlier songs include "2B 2D or not 2B", "Bohemian Love", "Darkstar", "I Blame Coco", "Never Be", "No Smile", and "Silencio". At 17, Coco signed a multi-record deal with Island Records.[2][3] Since then, she has spent time rewriting and recording The Constant in Sweden with one of her two producers, Klas Åhlund.[1] I Blame Coco's debut single, "Caesar", featuring Robyn, was released in February 2010 along with a music video.[3]

Coco has also worked with Fyfe Dangerfield,[4] Miike Snow, and Sub Focus. She has performed with Pete Doherty and Mr Hudson.

Other work

Coco had a supporting role in the 2007 film Stardust, along with her sister Mickey and half-sister Kate. Coco was featured in Burberry's Spring/Summer 2008 advertising campaign alongside Agyness Deyn, Blondelle, Lily Donaldson, Alex Pettyfer, and Eddie Redmayne.[5] Coco also performed on Statik's 2009 album '[Untitled] alongside Pete Doherty, Nicodemus Flower, Fyfe Dangerfield, Wretch 32 to name a few[6].

Personal life

Coco is the daughter of musician Sting and actress/producer Trudie Styler. She has five siblings. Her half-brother Joseph Sumner (born 1976) is the lead singer of the band Fiction Plane. Her half-sister is actress Fuschia Catherine "Kate" Sumner (born 1982). Coco's sister Bridget Michael "Mickey" Sumner (born 1984) is a filmmaker and artist, and Coco's two brothers are Jake Sumner (born 1985) and Giacomo Luke Sumner (born 1995).
