Naked Capitalism is a popular blog run by Yves Smith. It deals mainly with finance-related and economic news and analysis. At well as the serious financial content, Yves includes a daily animal photo in a feature called 'Antidote du jour'. The animal photo is there to provide the reader with a little light relief after being faced with news from a gloomy financial world[1].

It has been consistently ranked as among the best financial blogs currently being published.[2] [3]

As of March 8, 2010, it is the fifth most visited financial blog on the web.[4]
