River Test is a chalk stream in the south of England noted for trout fishing. The Test flows through some beautiful downland from its source near Overton, in Hampshire, to the sea at the head of Southampton Water.

The Romans built a bridge over the River Test at Nursling.

Sadler's Mill is an 18th Century watermill, with earlier origins, which sits astride the River Test on the western edge of Romsey.

The Test Valley District is a local administrative area.
