Melatonin Magik is the ninth studio album by rapper Canibus (CAN-I-BUS). It's his first album since his 2007 effort For Whom the Beat Tolls, and his debut on the new label War Lab Records. The album features artists such as DZK, Warbux, Blaq Poet, K-Solo, and a few others. On the track "Air Strike (Pop Killer)", both Canibus and DZK diss Eminem and D12, and the track samples an interview from 2002 that Eminem had with Tim Westwood[5]. The track also contains new, strictly battle rap verses by D12, Canibus obtained the verses from a DJ that D12 had sent their verses to. D12 said the verses "just got in to the wrong hands."

Art work for Melatonin Magik features a scene inspired by movie The Matrix[6]. Canibus sits in meditation position breaking through chains of government tyranny and lies and through your computer monitor/television screen, bringing to every potential protagonist a choice of red pill or blue pill. Similar to Redpill[7] analogy in The Matrix[8] listeners that choose to research Germaine's lyrics are taking the red pill, while those that disregard information Germaine presents in his lyrics choose a blue pill.

On several tracks Canibus states that Illuminati[9] are going to murder him, for releasing this album.
