Before MySpace

Before MySpace Anderson got his start at Intermix (formerly eUniverse) where he worked on a series of profitable internet ventures. [1] According to Julia Angwin and her sources for the book Stealing MySpace: The Battle to Control the Most Popular Website in America (ISBN 978-1-4000-6694-0), eUniverse made money running spyware and spam operations, as well as selling subscription skin medication (made famous by the ubiquitous "Better than Botox?" ads). According to Angwin, Anderson also made money as an affiliate for Asian porn website TeamAsian, which later became an issue with Rupert Murdoch after MySpace's acquisition.

After MySpace

He briefly appeared in the 2009 American drama-comedy Funny People starring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen and Leslie Mann.

American Idol Finalist, Scott MacIntyre, wrote a song called "I'll Take Tom" on his debut album "Heartstrings". The song is written about a MySpace relationship.
