Discussion

I'm unsure why this article has been altered after my edit (chunks of info was taken out, as well as a changing of the wording of 'Curly Horse' to 'Bashkir Curly'.) For the fairness in the debate between 'Bashkir curly' and 'American curly' being the proper term, I suggest we keep the termonology Neutral and at "Curly horse" - since that IS what the horse is, and all parties involved use that term. I give proper credit to the uniqueness of each registries preferances towards the name of the breed. Please, can we keep it at Curly? Unless you'd like to prove that these horses aren't curly horses.

I also found no fault in the information I added to the ICHO's section. I am not a member of ICHO personally, but on their website it's very crystal clear that they are a group concerned with the bloodline of the breed. To state they are "a registry based on coat type without regard to the horse's breeding" is simply not fact. And non-facts should not be posted on the wikipedia.

Please, try to discuss before you simply wipe out so much of my work on the page. Zavebe 17:43, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with Zavebe. I think discussion before editing will bring about a better Curly Horse article in Wikipedia. I am grateful for the beginning of this discussion page. I am also glad to see the references in place, and look forward to having more.

I would like to see the Curly Sport International group added, which would give more depth to the show section, especially. (Hoping Zavebe might consider adding it)

People unfamiliar with the Curly Horse should be able to get an accurate and unbiased overview of the horse and its varied registries and devoted groups when they look it up on Wikipedia. If they want point of view, they can find that through the various referenced links. ICHOofficeGal 21:09, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

To add to the confusion, here is an excellent article about the Bashkir horse, bred and raised by the Bashkir people, which may or may not be the same breed as the Bashkir Curly. --96.251.93.152 (talk) 17:45, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
