Brendan Bottcher (born December 19, 1991 in Sherwood Park, Alberta) is a Canadian curler from Edmonton. He has had several successes in his junior career, the most notable being his 2010 Alberta Junior champion crown. He is also a 2007 Alberta Juvenile Runner Up.[1]


Team

Brendan currently skips his own team out of the Saville Sports Center in Edmonton, consisting of: third Brad Thiessen, second Landon Bucholz, and lead Bryce Bucholz. They are led by the award winning coach Bernie Panich. They had numerous successes in their 2009-2010 season winning 4 junior bonspiels as well as being a runner-up in another. In the Saville Men's Super-League, they posted a .500 record beating many elite men's teams. In a few exhibition games throughout the season, they played Olympic caliber teams such as Kevin Martin and Thomas Ulsrud showing their ability to compete with the top men's teams. They also won the Alberta Junior Provincials beating their seasonal rival Curtis Bale 6-4 in the final. [2] At Junior Nationals in Sorel-Tracy they had mixed success going 6-6.[3]
