Frank Mazzola

Frank Mazzola (March 7, 1935) is an American film editor. [1] He was born in Los Angeles, CA. As a child and young adult, Mazzola worked as an actor. [2] [3] In 1955 he acted in Rebel Without a Cause with James Dean, Sal Mineo, Natalie Wood, and Dennis Hopper.

In 1966 Mazzola started editing films. His that time, he has edited Performance (1970), The Hired Hand (1971), Demon Seed (1977), The Secret Diary of Sigmund Freud (1984), Wild Side, 9starring Christopher Walkens), among others. [4] He was known to work with Donald Cammell on many of his films. Mazzola pioneered the non-linear editing style in Performance and other Cammell films, as well as the lyrical style that is found in The Hired Hand. [5]

Frank Mazzola has also been credited as film producer. [6]
