Pantelis Kapetanos (Greek: Παντελής Καπετάνος; born June 8, 1983 in Ptolemaida) is a Greek football player playing as a striker. He is the elder brother of Kostas Kapetanos.
AEK
Pantelis Kapetanos' best career moment while playing in Greece was his goalscoring header against Hearts in Scotland (9 August 2006). AEK won 2-1 there, 3-0 in the second leg and qualified for UEFA Champions League group stage. In the last season he played only 63 minutes for AEK and scored no goals.

8 July 2008: Greek striker Pantelis Kapetanos has joined Steaua Bucureşti on a free transfer after leaving AEK Athens. Kapetanos signed a one-year[3] contract with option to extension for two-years. At his first season at Steaua was top scorer with 11 goals, 8 scored after the 83rd minute, along with Bogdan Stancu.
Steaua's board used option to extension for two-years contract with Kapetanos. After the first part of the season Pantelis was the top scorer with 13 goals, 9 scored in Liga I, 2 in Cupa României and 2 in Europa League. He was the top scorer of Liga I after 17 rounds (9 goals), but he lost the title of leading goalscorer of the Liga I in round 32, when Andrei Cristea scored one goal and went to 16 league goals and Pantelis didn't score and stayed with 15 goals. In same round he received the fourth yellow of the season and was supended for penultimate round of championship and during the last round he would be travelling with the Greece squad to prepare for the upcoming World Cup. At end of the season, he was the top scorer of the team in Liga I with 15 goals and in Cupa României with 2 goals and at overall was top scorer with 19 goals.
National team
Pantelis Kapetanos has been called up by Greece for the first time ahead of its international friendly against Senegal. Greece coach Otto Rehhagel has included 26-year-old Steaua striker, in his squad for the match on 3 March 2010 as he looks to assess his attacking options ahead of the World Cup this summer. On 12 June 2010, Kapetanos made his FIFA World Cup debut in group stage match against South Korea.[4]
