Belzer's cameo- 3 sources say he was playing John Munch

According to imdb, National Public Radio [1] and USA Today [2] Belzer was playing John Munch, but HBO only credits him as a "bar patron". Could this be listed in uncredited appearances or would that be speculation?JeffStickney (talk) 19:19, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IMDb isn't considered reliable. I'd say write a graph for the guest stars section with those other two refs and state that some reviewers thought the role was Munch but that HBO didn't confirm this and cite the ep summary.--Opark 77 (talk) 19:47, 19 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HBO didn't credit him as anything. The show does not list character names in the closing credits. Opark probably listed him as "bar patron" because we can't say for sure that he's supposed to be Munch. How about a "production" section where the Belzer cameo is noted with the NPR and USA Today refs? "I used to run bar." is an obvious reference to Munch as he owned a bar on Homicide. But until he or David Simon confirm that it is Munch, we can't definitely say. MrBlondNYC (talk) 05:32, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Simon comfirms it was Munch in this interview: [3] MrBlondNYC (talk) 01:05, 12 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Plot Synopsis

How come the plot synopsis is so different in tone to all the previous entries for Wire episodes? Needs a major rewrite...80.229.225.16 (talk) 15:03, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. All of Season five episodes are below par compared to all previous four seasons. --Vindicta (talk) 20:02, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - I am sorely missing the excellent synopses from the previous seasons. Any chance of the original author(s) handling S5? 76.218.69.148 (talk)
