Eric Rippert is an American visual artist using photography, video, and sound recordings. He has been exhibiting his artwork from Prague to San Jose ever since he graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography. The Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland featured his solo exhibition Eric Rippert: Midwest Tableaux and curator Catherine Evans of the Columbus Museum of Art selected Rippert for the exhibition The View From Here: Recent Pictures from Central Europe and the American Midwest that traveled to seven cities from Minneapolis to Budapest.

Rippert has studied with world-renowned artists and theorists at the Vermont College of Fine Arts where his interests in Photography, Digital Video, and Time-Based Media earned him a Master of Fine Arts degree in Visual Art. His artwork is exhibited internationally, represented by Red Dot Project, and included in numerous private, institutional, and museum collections including Cleveland Museum of Art, Columbus Museum of Art, and Progressive Art Collection. For years, Eric Rippert practiced fashion and commercial photography in New York City before relocating to the Midwest where he has taught photography at University of Akron, Oberlin College, and Baldwin-Wallace College.
