The Four Corner Hustlers is an organized street gang originating on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. Together with the Gangster Disciples, Vice Lords, Latin Kings, and Black P Stones, they are one of five dominant Chicago gangs involved in drug distribution, accounting for 84 percent of gang membership.

The Four Corner Hustlers is an organization that consists of mostly African-Americans and was founded by former Vice Lords members Walter Wheat and Malik Gauge. They originated on Chicago's Westside in the early 1970s. The organization was founded by King Walter Wheat and Freddy "Malik" Gauge. Shortly after the Four Corner Hustlers emerged, they became allied with the Vice Lords street gang, becoming a faction and adopting Vice Lord symbols and colors. The gang operated as a small group in the Austin neighborhood throughout the mid-to-late 1970s, often fighting area clubs and engaging in petty theft.

Their official colors are Red, Black, and Gold (sometimes white and black). However, members can be seen wearing all colors. Members often wear Black Chicago White Sox hats.

Among their many symbols is a Black Diamond, symbolizing the four corners of the earth. As is the case with gangs within the People alliance, most symbols are of Islamic influence.

Some of their spin-off sets include Villain 4s, Top Gunna 4s, Angelo 4s, Snypa 4s, L.T. 4s, Maniac 4s, Body Snatcher 4s, Barnon 4s, Macative 4s, Hadaire 4s, Spanish 4s, L.A. 4s, ray ray 4s, Out Law 4s, and Solid 4s.

Angelo Roberts

Walter Wheat assigned Angelo Roberts a leadership position within the Four Corner Hustlers at a very young age. Roberts was the love interest of Walter Wheat's daughter. Roberts is perhaps the most notable figure within the history of the Four Corner Hustlers. He became Chief of the Four Corner Hustlers after Wheat's death.

Roberts attempted to purchase high-powered weapons with the intent of blowing up the Harrison Street Chicago police station. Roberts' aggression was fueled by rumored harassment by certain officers within this precinct. Following the discovery of his plight by undercover officers, Roberts fled and was also featured on America's Most Wanted. In 1995, Roberts' body was found in the trunk of a car, his body frozen and his throat cut, on the city's south side. The killers have yet to be found.

Roberts has achieved somewhat of a legendary status[citation needed] due not only to his ruthlessness, but also his ability to successfully lead an organization at such a young age. Roberts was only 25 at the time of his death. A faction of the Four Corner Hustlers is called Angelo 4's, in his honor.
