Terkha

Terkha is a small village situated in the district Nowshera of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan.it is about 5 Km from the main Grand Trunk road and about 10 Km from the Islamabad Peshawar Motorway.

Literacy

The Literacy rate in terkha village is about 40% in males and 30% in females.the trend of education has suddenly increased after Mr.Rafiullah who became a doctor and topped the Khyber Medical College for five consecutive years. he is now in USA perusing higher studies.

History

historically the first Pushtun tribe came here around 1552.The Akbarpura village situated just near to Terkha is an old and famous village which was constructed by one of the governors of mughal king Akbar the great.
