Death Note

Fujiwara portrayed a fictional character, and Death Note's main protagonist, Light Yagami in the live-action movie. He co-stars with Erika Toda, Ken'ichi Matsuyama, Asaka Seto and Shunji Fujimura. Light Yagami(Fujiwara) finds a mysterious note book named the 'Death Note', stating that if any persons name is written inside the note, they will die. After meeting a Shinigami (Death Note) named Ryuk, played by Nakamura Shidou(voice), Light decides to become 'God of the New World' by using the Death Note to kill criminals and create a 'Perfect World'. Fujiwara stated during filming to on-set cameras that it is hard to portray a character who has such emotion inside of him that is kept back until certain moments, but he thinks he has done a very good job with his acting in trying to bring Light Yagami to life within him and onto the screen. During filming of Death Note: The Last Name, Tatsuya became close friends with Ken'ichi Matsuyama, who plays L, Light Yagami's ultimate rival. Matsuyama mentioned that Tatsuya had done a good job with his acting, despite the fact that they were both acting.
