The article Tom Captain has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable sources establishing this person's notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 15:46, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

August 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Tom Captain. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 17:05, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Tom Captain, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Namely, saying that Tom Captain is an "industry veteran" in the first sentence is akin to introducing Barack Obama as a veteran politician without giving a hint that he's President. -- Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 18:44, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
