The male name "Zsombor" allegedly comes from the Slavic "zubar" (buffalo) and not from the etimology describe in the article. Decision and if necessary, correction should be applied.
Hungarian Wikipedia [1] gives two etimology for Zsombor: 1. from the name "Zombor"- buffalo (slavic) and 2. from turul / zongor
This page of Hungarian names [2] gives Zombor and Zongor as different names: Zombor/Zsombor as buffalo and Zongor as turul.
This page about the etimology of Hungarian names [3] does not list Zongor and gives both Zombor and Zsombor as buffalo. Zombor with Slavic-Hungarian and Zsombor with Bulgarian-Turkish-Hungarian origin. So I suggest that the Zsombor-turul etimology should be noted as "alleged" or "disputed". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.209.209.45 (talk) 11:37, 21 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
