The following is a list of better-known clans of the Gujjar community of South Asia (The total number of clans being 3000) listed in alphabetical order. All most all Gurjar clans are divided in two divisions.They are Laur or Lava Gurjars, who claim to be descendant from Lava, son of lord Ramchandra) and Khari Gurjars, who claim to be descendant from Kush, other son of lord Ramchandra.[1] The following list is based on the gotras described by historian such as Shri Naunihal singh [2], Mr.H.A.rose,Mr, Rahul khari [3] etc.
