Economy

I though it might be appropriate for a section to be devoted to the economy of Payson. I noticed this seemed to be available on some of the other cities mentioned on Wikipedia. However, I am not the best at wording or sentence structure and therefore thought I would present some facts I discovered and then if someone who is better at writing wanted they could create the section.

Payson’s Economy

As of the 2007 Census Payson Utah economy was derived primarily from the following two sectors.

1. Retail @ 285,472,000
2. Manufacturing @ 193,465,00

Of the retail, sections include

Gasonline stations @ 62,525,000
Supermarkets @ 60,465,000
With the remaining area coming from all other retail sectors

Major Businesses
Payson Fruit Growers is a Cherry Processing Cooperative which pits and dries Montmorency Tart Cherries. Employs an estimated 300 people fulltime
Temkin Plastics produce thermoformed plastics and have an estimated 250-500 employees.
Liberty Safe produces safes and employees estimated 250-500 employees
