Kris "Gavel Boy" Jordan is a Republican member of the Ohio State house of representatives from the Second Legislative District. His district includes Delaware County, Ohio. Jordan is a graduate of The Ohio State University. Before being elected to the State House he served as a member of the Delaware County Commissioners.

Career

Jordan is currently serving his first term in the Ohio House, representing the 2nd District. Prior to serving as a State Representative, he served two terms as a Delaware County Commissioner and worked for Rep. Joan Lawrence and as a Legislative Aide to Rep. Jon Peterson. Representative Jordan received his Bachelor of Arts in political science from The Ohio State University. An active participant as a community organizer, Representative Jordan is a member of the Delaware County Farm Bureau, Hiram Masonic Lodge, the Delaware County Township Association and the County Commissioner Association of Ohio.

Politics

Jordan is a member of the Financial Institutions, Real Estate, and Securities Committee, the Housing and Urban Revitalization Committee, the Insurance Committee and the State Government Committee.

Personal

Representative Jordan and his wife Melissa live in Powell. They are members of LifePoint church.
