He currently serves as Chair of the Rules and Government Operations Committee, Vice-chair of the Finance Committee, and is also a member of the Law and Public Safety Committee and the Economic Development Committee.

He graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1985.[1]

2005 Election

Berding was elected to Cincinnati City Council in 2005 in his first run for political office. He raised the most money of all candidates in the race.[2]

He finished in sixth place, with the top nine sitting on council. Although he is a Democrat, the council seats are nonpartisan. Terms last two years.

2009 Un-endorsement

In 2009, Jeff Berding was un-endorsed by the local Democratic Party. [3] The un-endorsement was cause for some strife as it got referenced by various Cincinnati media outlets.[4][5]
