Anna Maria Geertruida Schmidt (Kapelle, 20 may 1911Amsterdam, 21 may 1995) was a Dutch writer. Although she wrote a variety of poems, songs, books, plays, musicals, and radio- en television drama, she is most known for her children's literature. She committed suicide one day after her 84th birthday and was buried in Amsterdam.
