Coughton Court in the late 19th century.

Coughton (pronounced "Coat-un") Court is a country house on the main road between Studley and Alcester in Warwickshire. It holds a place in English history for its role in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605.

The house has an impressive facade directly facing the main road. The Coughton estate has been in the Throckmorton family since 1409. The house is open to the public and there is an exhibition about the Gunpowder Plot.
