Monty Porter is a former Australian rugby league footballer of the 1950s and 1960s. He began his career in 1955 at Western Suburbs where he made just four appearances. But it was St. George where he enjoyed his greatest success after moving to the club in 1958. The club won the premiership every year he was at the club. In 1966 he signed for the newly former Cronulla club and became their first ever captain in their inaugural year in 1967. However, he retired the following year and became the club secretary. In 1983 he became a member of the first ever NSWRL Board of Directors.
