5ive Girls is a 2006 Canadian horror film starring Ron Perlman, Jennifer Miller, and Jordan Madley. It was written and directed by Warren P. Sonoda and has been available on DVD since March 6, 2007.
Plot
The story takes place at St. Mark's, a Catholic boarding school for girls. One day, a young student, Elizabeth, is studying in a classroom on the third floor, when without warning, she is attacked by unseen evil forces. One of St. Mark's priests, Father Drake, attempts to save Elizabeth from the apparently demonic aggressor, but he quickly proves to be powerless against it, and the girl vanishes without a trace.
The school is immediately shut down, and all of the students are removed from campus by worried families. Five years later, the school reopens. A harsh headmistress, Miss Pearce, rules the girls with an iron fist; Father Drake remains at the school as a teacher, but because of the disappearance of Elizabeth he has become a drunkard, found by Miss Pearce at a bar. Five troubled and unwanted girls are left by their families at the school: Alex, Mara, Cecilia — who is blind, Leah, and Connie. The girls are strictly forbidden to go to the third floor (the site of Elizabeth's disappearance). One of the girls enters the third floor, prompting Miss Pearce to get out her rod and spank the girl until she is screaming.
Alex begins to have visions of Elizabeth being possessed by a demon. Other strange things begin to happen, revealing that all five of the girls possess supernatural gifts. Eventually, the girls must use their new gifts to battle the demon Legion.
Reception
Despite a mixed reception on its release, the film has already reached a cult status and has a strong fan following.
Sequel
The film has proved so popular with fans that many have started petitions for a sequel.[citation needed]

Characters, in order of death
- Connie - a student at the school, a Wiccan and a conduit for the supernatural. She is the first to be possessed, developing bruises on her neck and back, which are followed by deep slashes in her back. She begins to go insane over the pain. While in the bath, her arm veins start to appear black and she gets out and attempts to drown Leah several times, before vomiting black blood into the water. She then falls back and collapses, finally dying as her soul is pushed out and collected by Legion.
- Father Drake - the school's priest. He has no supernatural powers and just tries to help the girls. He is killed after the possessed Leah attempts to seduce him, who then stabs him with several crucifixes.
- Leah - a student at the school who has the power to walk through objects. She is the second to become possessed after the death of Connie. She begins to develop strange eating habits and dresses provocatively. She attempts to seduce Father Drake, kills him and then dies after her soul has been pushed out and collected by Legion.
- Cecilia - a student at the school who is blind but has psychic abilities which allow her to see the past, present and future. She is the third to become possessed after Leah violently stomps on her with high heels. She fights back and smashes Leah's face with a book before the possessed Leah puts her fingers in her eyes and possesses her. Cecilia can now see and is eventually killed after passing the demon on to Mara and has her soul pushed out and collected by Legion.
- Miss Pearce - the headmistress of the school. She is the sister of Elizabeth, whose soul was stolen by Legion. She makes a deal with the demon to give him the souls of five powerful girls (the five girls at her school) in order for her sister to return. Pearce torments the girls and is very strict. She is accidentally possessed by Legion and is impaled through the mouth by a crucifix. However, Pearce survives and gets up, passing the demon on to Virgil before dying herself.
- Alex - a student at the school with the power of telekinesis. She manages to avoid being possessed and fights with the possessed Mara, who stabs her. She survives long enough to use her telekinesis to push Legion into Miss Pearce and then kills her. Then, Alex collapses from her stab wound and dies of blood loss.
- Virgil - the school's janitor. He turns out to be the father of Elizabeth and Miss Pearce, and he is a party to killing the girls in order to bring Elizabeth back. He is briefly reunited with the resurrected Elizabeth, just as Miss Pearce comes, grabs him and passes Legion on to him before dying herself. He then turns around as Elizabeth screams in terror that he, Legion, is going to drag her back to Hell with him.
- Elizabeth - a student at the school before it was closed, she was attacked and taken to Hell by Legion at the start after he tried to take her soul. She haunts the schoolgirls, attempting to warn them about the danger, and is eventually brought back alive by her sister and father in exchange for the five girls' souls. She is reunited with her family at the end, but is dragged back to Hell by her Legion-possessed father.
- Mara - a student at the school; her power is healing. She is possessed and stabs Alex but then has Legion pushed out of her with Alex's telekinesis and collapses. She awakens to find Alex dead, but she manages to escape the school before the Pearces destroy each other at the end of the film.
