Biography

Marzio Conti was born in Florence May 22, 1960.[1]

He began his career as a flutist becoming very young, a leading international soloists, making his debut as a soloist at the Salzburg Festival in 1981 with I Solisti Veneti. He then dedicated himself entirely to conducting collaborating, among others, with the Teatro Regio in Turin, the Teatro dell 'Opera di Roma, Teatro Massimo of Palermo, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, the Teatro Bellini in Catania and some of the more traditional theaters, such as Donizetti Bergamo, Teatro Alighieri in Ravenna, Teatro del Giglio di Lucca, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro Goldoni of Livorno, the Municipal Theatre of Bolzano.

Marzio Conti was chief conductor of the Theatre of Chieti Marrucino until 2007, after being a guest conductor Sinfonica Abruzzese by Institution 1999 to 2002 and principal conductor of the Turin Philharmonic from 2001 to 2005.

He is currently principal conductor of the 'Orquestra Nacional d'Andorra and is artistic director of' Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo.
