Suresh Pachouri (Hindi: सुरेश पचौरी) (born 1 July 1952) is an Indian Politician from the state of Madhya Pradesh. He is a member of the Indian National Congress. He is currently the President of the Madhya Pradesh Congress Committe.
Political career
Suresh Pachouri was elected to the Rajya Sabha (Upper House of the Indian Parliament) for the first time in 1984, was re-elected in 1990, re-elected again in 1996 and re-elected for a fourth term in 2002.

Suresh Pachouri served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions from 24th May 2004 - 6th April 2008.It was during this period that the Right to Information Act was passed by the Parliament of India on 15th June 2005.The Act came fully into effect on 12 October 2005.
