Dulce Base is the unofficial name for an alleged secret underground facility under the Archuleta Mesa in Dulce, New Mexico, United States.

Paul Bennewitz, employed at a filtration manufacturer with government contracts[citation needed] was the first to raise claims of a secret base in New Mexico[citation needed].

In an interview with Thomas Castello, a man who alleges that he was a security officer on the base and maintained close contact with subterrestrial and extraterrestrial beings of non-human origin, the Dulce Base is thoroughly described. He claims there are seven levels, the lowest endearingly referred to as "Nightmare Hall," and in here is where reptilian laborers do menial work for the Draco lords. However, a Level 8 is quite possible as highly secured elevators were seen on Level 7. There have been reports that this is were Project UMBRA is housed. The facility is also quite enormous, rivaling Carlsbad Caverns in size:

Nature started the caverns. The Draco [reptilian humanoids] used the caverns and tunnels for centuries. Later, through RAND Corporation plans, it was enlarged repeatedly. The original caverns included ice caves and sulfur springs that the "aliens" found perfect for their needs. The Dulce caverns rival Carlsbad caverns in size.[1]

In Television

The Dulce Base was the subject of an episode of the History Channel program UFO Hunters. In the second episode of the show's third season, the investigators travelled to Dulce to interview residents, witnesses, and fellow investigators, as well as get a closer look at the Archuleta Mesa, under which the base is reportedly hidden. Although there was evidence of cattle mutilation and several witness reports of seeing UFOs in the area, no hard evidence as to the facility's existence was discovered during the investigation. However this is to be expected. The amount of effort to maintain secrecy of the facility would have been in vain if it would be visible from the surface. A geologic survey would produce much more comprehensive results.
