Todd Joseph Miller, better known as T. J. Miller, (born June 4, 1981) is an American actor and stand-up comedian.

Life and career

Miller was born in Denver, Colorado. Miller attended the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. where he was a member of the comedy group receSs and the Lambda chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa.

Miller was selected as a new face in the 2007 HBO Aspen Comedy Arts Festival.[1] He appeared as Marmaduke Brooker in the TV series Carpoolers and as the character Hudson Platt ("Hud") in the J. J. Abrams-produced film, Cloverfield. Miller has co-hosted on the comedy radio show "Red Bar Radio" a number of times.

Miller was named one of Variety Magazine's "Top Ten Comics to Watch" in 2008,[2] and was also named one of Entertainment Weekly's 12 rising stars of comedy.[3]

In 2010, he co-starred in She's Out of My League as Stainer, provided the voice of Tuffnut in the animated film How to Train Your Dragon, and appeared with a supporting role in Unstoppable. He will also play Ranger Jones in the live-action Yogi Bear film, which will be released in December 2010.

In 2011, he will appear in the film My Idiot Brother and appear on the ABC comedy series Happy Endings.
