Wind power image

Yes, I can create a graphic for the annual wind power production. Can you point me in the direction of a good data set? What years should be included in the range?--E8 (talk) 05:56, 22 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If we could do something very similar to this image p. 5 it would be helpful. It gives the history of growth since 2001, the 2009 figure as well as a 2010 prediction. In terms of layout, if we could make the image more square (a bit higher and not as wide) it would fit on the page better. Johnfos (talk) 21:17, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Plug-in electric vehicles

Hi Johnfos. I just finished the first split (see List of modern production plug-in electric vehicles), and now the article is 83K, just close to the limit for GA. After preparing to do the second split, now I believe that taking the government subsidy section will take most of the value added of this article, and it will result in two rather short articles. Besides, there are more than 30 articles linking to the subsidy section, so it is a lot of work to track those links to redirect to the split article. Can you take and look and give me your experience opinion? Thanks.-Mariordo (talk) 00:25, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Looking good, Mariordo. No need for second split. Have replied on article Talk page. Johnfos (talk) 03:22, 12 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Separating vehicles by generation rather than powertrain or trim level

Hi, I am just dropping a note to inform you of a discussion currently taking place here (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Automobiles#Mass article merger). In summary, WikiProject Automobiles is soliciting opinions based on the separation of automobile articles by generation, as opposed to other means such as powertrain or trim level. For example, rather than having an article on the Audi S3, the Audi A3 article would be split into two sub-articles (one for each generation), and the S3 content would be moved to the appropriate location. This would place automobiles with common engineering in the same place, as opposed to grouping by a mere marketing term. Since separate articles are always provided to detail the powertrain (engine and transmission, et cetera), the partitioning of articles based on this principle is superfluous (the powertrain is only briefly discussed in the article about the car). The reason for giving the actual powertrain a separate article is to cut down on overlap: engines and transmissions are almost universally used in more than one model.

Climate change

I think we should open a dialog on climate change mitigation. Are you available to speak on the telephone? Ginger Conspiracy (talk) 00:50, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
