Hey, great to see someone paying attention to the Protecta page. I'm afraid you can't just copy someone else's work and paste it into Wikipedia, unless you are that person (which is unlikely). Please rewrite the article in your own words or have me do it, thanks.PS, expect a call from an annoying admin, SCEhardT.--Holocron 15:52, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
Image:Franchi_spas15
Hi. The image you uploaded at Image:Franchi_spas15.jpg uses the tag {{NoRightsReserved}}, which is incorrect because the source you cite (http://world.guns.ru/shotgun/franchi_spas15.jpg) gives no copyright information. Images stored on a web page can be copyrighted to any number of individuals and organizations which the web page may fail to identify. You must not assume these unidentified copyright holders have released all rights to the picture into the public domain - this rarely happens, and it's probably not the case here. One option is to use the tag {{promophoto}}, which states that the image is an advertisment pic released by the product's manufacturer, but you still need to identify an author and source.
To do this, find an image that is hosted on the manufacturer's web page. Read the manufacturer's copyright policy, and if that policy does not expressly forbid doing so, you can take the image and upload it to Wikipedia with the Promophoto tag. If, despite your efforts, you cannot identify the source or copyright status of an uploaded image, it has to be deleted ASAP according to wiki policy.
I hope we can get this sorted out quickly. Thanks for your contributions, and welcome to Wikipedia! Tronno (talk | contribs) 17:35, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Ithaca37st.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Ithaca37st.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or ask for help at Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. Thank you. -- Carnildo 13:27, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
