History
Plot Builder was originally envisioned by brothers Douglas and Andrew Wilson in December, 2006. Douglas was an aspiring novelist and wanted software to organize story chapters and notes. Andrew was attending film school at Brooks Institute and saw Plot Builder as an opportunity to create screenplay software that was easier to use and more intuitive than the existing, leading software. Both brothers collaborated together over the course of 2 years in order to finish Plot Builder - releasing it to the public in August, 2009. Andrew designed the interface and functionality while Douglas programmed.
