Rollback (add request)

Rollback would be useful in dealing with some vandals... Passionless (talk) 15:11, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Done Please be sure to warn the vandals as well. Dabomb87 (talk) 16:11, 26 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Since I joined four days ago, I've been reverting vandalism using Lupin's Anti-Vandal tool. However, after 95 or so edits overall (and I know it's not a lot), I would like to try my hand at other tools that require rollback permissions to further contribute in regards to dealing with vandals. :) xMaDz :) (talk) 00:52, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, 4 days is not enough experience. Nakon 02:24, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I have been reverting vandalism manually for some time, I would like to try igloo, which need this right Bentogoa (talk) 08:32, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done If I'm reading it right, you've bitten new contributing ips in the recent past and have in some cases warned them despite their edits not being vandalism. Unfortunately, due to your lack of understanding of the difference between vandalism and content dispute, you have left warning notes that are quite inappropriate, and which unfortunately have even contributed to ips being blocked. You have more or less only edited on a handful of articles. Expand your contributions to vandalism fighting across our project for a few days. Re-apply after a few days of such experience. But before anything, read up on Vandalism. You might not have done so till now. Kind regards. Wifione ....... Leave a message 10:40, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Rollback would be a very useful feature for me when fighting vandalism; and incorrect information. Thank You - ziansh | talk 11:25, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Gain more experience in reverting vandalism. You additionally have to start necessarily leaving warning notes on the pages of editors whose edits you are reverting. Please read up on Help:Reverting, at the same time understand what is Vandalism. Once you've done that, and have gained at least two weeks' experience, come back. Wifione ....... As an autoconfirmed user and a member of the WikiProject Hong Kong Transport, I had around 1 year experience and a few hundred constructive edits in English wikipedia. I am delighted to help wikipedia in all the ways I can, including handling and warning vandals if you are kind enough to grant me the permission of using the rollback feature. Trust me, I WILL fully and constructively utilize this feature. Thanks very much anyways. Tingo Chu (talk) 15:39, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, I don't see any anti-vandalism experience. Please try one of the tools that does not require rollback for a few weeks and feel free to request again later. Nakon 19:13, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While fighting vandalism isn't my main task on Wikipedia, I occasionally take a stab at it via the recent changes page (as seen in my recent edit history), and the task would be much easier with rollback. I've been editing for over five years and have a pretty good grasp on what is and isn't vandalism. Roscelese (talkcontribs) 04:01, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have been reverting vandalism for a while and I feel that I'm ready for this. Baseball Watcher Lets Chat 04:58, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, not enough experience at this time. Please try out one of the non-rollback tools for a few weeks and feel free to request again soon. Nakon 05:49, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am requesting rollback, because I have been on Wikipedia for a while now, and my primary objective for all this time has been reverting vandalism. However, I don't just go reverting edits that say things I don't agree with. I research it first. Wether it be books or another internet site, I will make sure I have proper evidence before I go reverting edits. Vandalism is really annoying, because it ruins perfectly good articles, and it is my aim to help ensure that it does not happen. Thank you. Orashmatash (talk) 12:41, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Not yet ready, IMO. You requested to be an admin with your fifth edit. You tagged an article for CSD, failed to notify the creator, and didn't know how. Slow down, there's plenty of time to gain experience.--SPhilbrickT 21:29, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, hey, hey. I didn't know that the article creator had a talk page, and I DO know how to notify the creator. You should notify me and ASK before using this against me. Also, I haven't requested adminship on Wikipedia, so I have no idea where you got that one from.Orashmatash (talk) 21:38, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You requested adminship in simple. Tofutwitch11 (TALK) 22:34, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
While my main work doesn't involve reverting, Rollback would be immensely useful for keeping pages orderly (especially those subject to constant editing), and I do on occasion surf the recent changes and check out some odd-looking edits. WhiteArcticWolf (talk) 14:15, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I got this tool taken away from me before because I didn't exactly understand what was vandalism and what wasn't. I now fully understand, and have been using Twinkle to revert vandalism for a while. ΣПDiПGSTΛЯT 05:38, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Not done, please first request rollback from the admin that removed it from your account. Nakon 05:40, 30 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I think this would be useful for anti-vandalism note on the amount of edits: my edit count here is low, but I have over 2000 edits on the Dutch wikipedia, mostly anti-vandalism User:TBloemink/Signature 18:46, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

Required to use Huggle to revert vandalism and warn the vandals. Nat682 (talk) 21:22, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Dabomb87 (talk) 21:51, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've been using Twinkle for some time and I'd like to become more active in fighting vandalism with the help of utilities such as Huggle. I usually patrol newpages and am very familiar with CSD and AFD, I regularly read RFAs, the village pump, and ANI to gain a better understanding of what will be acceptable behavior should I be granted additional privileges. I have reverted in haste prior, and I now take significantly more caution and restraint in undoing the actions and work of others. Nick Wilson (talk) 05:47, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Your last report to WP:AIV was in December 2009. Please try one of the automated tools and gain more experience identifying vandalism, then apply again in a month or so. KrakatoaKatie 10:10, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I revert vandalism whenever needed, but I'd like to spend less time doing it. I understand the rules regarding this tool's use. SteveStrummer (talk) 07:41, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
 Done - Happy reverting! Tiptoety talk 09:00, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have been using Undo to revert vandalism. The Rollback function would sometimes be faster ad easier to use. I am aware of the rules regarding Rollback. Thank you, JoeSperrazza (talk) 21:04, 2 January 2011 (UTC) JoeSperrazza (talk) 21:04, 2 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done While you've made some reports to WP:UAA, you've never made a report to WP:AIV. Sorry, but at this time you don't have enough experience dealing with vandals. Please try one of the automated tools to identify and report vandalism, then apply again in six to eight weeks. :-) KrakatoaKatie 10:16, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have been doing it manually. Now I would like to do it faster and better. I have aslo provided a numbered list of my actions regarding this matter in my page. Thanks. *** in fact *** ( contact ) 06:06, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Not done First, learn how to wiklink. Next, learn how to identify vandalism, ask a non-cooperative user to stop with an appropriate warning (with the user talk message templates, for example), and report true vandals to WP:AIV. Feel free to ask again in a few weeks. :-) KrakatoaKatie 10:41, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Disappointing ! I would continue doing it manually. *** in fact *** ( contact ) 12:05, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have been on Wikipedia for quite a while now and spend a lot of time on the Recent Changes page reverting vandalism. Rollback would make this a lot easier. Thanks, AndrewvdBK (talk) 18:47, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You don't seem to be leaving editors warning templates when reverting. Nakon 19:38, 3 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Done Since Nakon's comment, user has been much better about warning users. Will AGF that he continues to be as diligent. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:32, 6 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Several years of experience and I spend most of my time trolling for vandalism to revert. Popups is nice but RB would be good for the consecutive edits revert. Cheers! DP76764 (Talk) 22:18, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You've done a good job reverting vandalism, but you don't seem to be warning vandals. If you are granted rollback, will you do a better job of this? Dabomb87 (talk) 01:36, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
hi, i want to have this permission for better fighting against vandalism, i know with twinkle or popups i can do rollback but i prefer to have this permission because i had experience with that in other wikis. thanks. --ebraminiotalk 22:55, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Same as above, essentially. I trust that you can distinguish between vandalism and good-faith edits, but will you do a better job of warning vandals if you are granted rollback? Dabomb87 (talk) 01:39, 8 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
